UPDATE 2: Moscow pharmacies start selling COVID-19 pharma Areplivir

MOSCOW, Sep 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian pharmaceutical against the coronavirus Areplivir has started to be sold in pharmacies of Moscow, an official of the pharmacy chain Stolichki told PRIME on Monday.

The price is 12,130 rubles per package, sale is by prescription.

"Areplivir, 200 miligrams, 40 pills per package, the Bratislavskaya metro station, available," the official said.

Andrei Mladentsev, CEO of Promo-Med, the company that developed the pharmaceutical, said that Areplivir would arrive to regional pharmacies by the end of the week.

He said that Promo-Med will break the agreements with pharmacies setting the price above 12,320 rubles. "We set the maximum retail price at 12,320 rubles in order to prevent higher prices. And we will fine and cancel any agreements with pharmacies setting prices higher than the retail price that we recommended," Mladentsev said.
